Most insurance plans cover lactation care as part of preventative health care under the Affordable Care Act.
It’s true - if your plan covers things like pap smears, flu shots, and annual physicals, it likely also covers a breast pump, prenatal breastfeeding education, and postpartum lactation care by a board certified lactation consultant.
Lincoln Lactation is a preferred provider with many of the most common local insurance companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield, UHC, UMR, Midlands Choice, Oscar, Aetna, Meritain, Tricare, & others.
