Group Gathering This Saturday, 2/11
It’s only Wednesday and I can’t wait another day before inviting you to join us Saturday morning for a very special opportunity.
Tell me. When was the last time you genuinely took time to thank your body? The concept was introduced to me this past week (and get ready, because we are absolutely doing this on Saturday), to choose quiet moment to systematically thank the different parts of your body that serve you so faithfully. And not just in your head and heart either - no, aloud.
We all struggle admiring parts of our bodies from time to time, but I’ll be the first to thank my knees for allowing me to get up and down off the floor countless times per day with moms, and babies, and my own kids, and my laundry baskets. I can thank my forearms for bearing the weight of everything I drag to and from my car. I can thank my right shoulder (yes, just their right one) for supporting many babies in my trusty sling. I am aloud to struggle with body image, and still thank my body.
And in a very direct way of being grateful to our bodies, I have the pleasure of introducing you to a friend of mine this Saturday. I am so glad Courtney Downs of Crescent Moon Prenatal & Postpartum Massage will be joining us. Courtney has a very unique massage table set-up that she’s going to bring and demonstrate. It allows pregnant and nursing moms to lay completely prone without putting pressure on their bellies or breasts. You’ll have to see it, and experience it, to believe it.
